Pokémon Go is collaborating with the Kumamoto Revival Project to bring trainers a special One Piece event. On July 22 the Luffy statue in Kumamoto will become an official PokéStop with gifts from said spot featuring artwork from Eiichiro Oda. The statue erected in November 2018 honors Oda’s support with rebuilding efforts after a major earthquake in 2016.

A special limited edition version of Pikachu wearing a straw hat will be available worldwide from July 22 through July 29.

The game’s Style Shop will also carry a trainer-sized version of Luffy’s iconic straw hat (it is currently unknown if this accessory will require Pokécoins). According to the original article, the accessory will be available after the event ends on July 29.http://www.onepiecepodcas****m/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/3_28503_199303_up_N6Q3MSDI.png

In Pokémon Go, Luffy’s statue which is built in Oda’s hometown Kumamoto is now served as a Pokéstop! What’s even more interesting is that when you go there, you will be greeted by an original piece of artwork drawn by Oda himself!
