ONE PIECE HAS 450 MILLION COPIES WORLDWIDE
Copies in Japan: 380M
Copies in WorldWide: 70M
Congrats fuh Oda, a true king in Japan.
These proportions are weird though...
What's the bible at ?
why suprise if mayority people outside japan just want read it free from online.
Don't get it why naruto, Dragonball are still way more popular outside of japan.
Anyway, luffy is going for batman? Since he has over 500 milion.
Harry Potter is still number one
but I assume One piece can reach highest world wild copy of all times before end
Batman will be dwarfed by the time One Piece ends. I wonder if OP can be #1 and dethrone Superman somehow though!
Yeah like me. I stopped buying OP Volume long time ago and just happy can read it online for free. I am not like the so called critique experts, who read for free but did not appreciated the author for his work, always troll and troll.
one piece reader grow more and more by days
assuming one piece will go on for at least next 6 years ... I think so
Then you have no right to critizes it cause you are reading it illegal
Even though germany is some volumes behind I buying all volumes and will contuine to do so cause its the greatest series ever
Of course, so I am happy as long as I can read OP and really appreciated the author for his work. But I'm talking about some people here (the self proclaimed critique experts) who always troll and troll, whatever happened in the story, they aren't satisfied, even though they just read it illegally and did not bought the manga volumes.
Bought my first 3 volumes so I am a part of those 450M ).
A part of those 70M to be more exact.
You can buy 3 volumes in one book 600 pages, is that considerate as 1 or 3 volumes I wonder?
In 2017 it was 460M, it can't be now 500M, batman didn't sell 40M in 2 years ...
Am I wrong?
Still 600M ?
Because 4Kids ruined One Piece and it never made it big while it should've.
Dragon Ball is a true classic, but when compared with Naruto, it all has to do with the Anime. One Piece was ruined by 4Kids and it has a much slower beginning.
The art style doesn't help, It was goffy at the start and still is + the horrible adaptation of the anime and you get comments like OP is for kids in lots of forums ...
I actually hated the artstyle in the beginning, but now I've come to appreciate it immensly.
It takes a creeative mind to have so many unique designs and still have them fit together somehow
So much this. As a "westerner" myself, I can only say that most younger people here just don't like to read (which is sad), manga being no exception. They only watch the anime versions. 4Kids completely ruined OP for the audience in the USA. In Europe it's not that bad, but we all have to agree that the OP anime in general just isn't that good, especially compared to the manga.
If 4kids is the scrapegoat... Why didnt the series get more popular once funimation/Toonami took over?
For all its glory, One Piece is just not popular in the west and we really cant pinpoint out the reasons why its failing unlike DBZ,OPM, Naruto, MHA or even Bleach.
Because the start was important, this was not all of it, they started from a boring arc if I remember and seriously the adaptation was crap to say at least.
Also there were some problems with the dvds.
There was a lot retarded moves.
OPM first season was made by mad house, the one that made the HXH adaptation from 2011.
MHA is seasonal similar to OPM.
The quality of OP is subpar compared to the source material.
Do HxH remake and we may talk then.
Funimation is still average because of the scheduler.
Because the start is always the most important part of determining success. It's really no rocket science. Nobody - especially in the west - suddenly starts watching a five or even ten year old series. Not to mention that they would have to watch all the crap 4kids has produced, too, in order to be up to date.
If 4kids did to Dragonball or Naruto what they've done to OP, hardly anyone in the west would've watched those shows.
