ITT talk about games the majority hates but you like.

Let me get this big one out of the way: Final Fantasy XIII

I'm still not used to the battle system, but I'm loving this game more then the recent FFXV. The characters are all different with their own agendas, whereas in FFXV, all boyband members seem to follow Prince Noctis.

Loving the story more in FXIII and especially loving the unique designs that are very similar to FFX's designs.

Plus there's no "chores" to do like filling up your car with fuel, looking for a campsite when it gets dark (why the fuck should that matter?)

in short, I love FFXIII more than XV. I'm not too fussed about the sequels, so you can shit on them if you want.

I really love Yokai Watch even though it gets hate.
It's just a joy to play and the monster designs, are a lot more fluid imo.

Samurai Warriors... Luckily they changed the dub.
    Because that was pure awful.

    And lastly....

    Resident Evil Zero
It had such great graphics and it was fun.
Bringing back the old school movement system was great too!

Not sure the majority still hates it, but: Assassin's Creed Unity

The release was a huge flop of course (for PC especially), but after patches fixed the game, I must say: It's a good game overall.

If we speak detail, then it's a great game in terms of gameplay, a big step forward for the Assassin's Creed saga (the flow, the cover system, the weapon usage, the climbing & parkouring, it was so smooth to play + the gameplay in the missions, even though it was still lots of the typical Ubisoft formula, the individual missions were so much better than in previous AC games, the freedom in assassinations was very enjoyable). The world is well designed too, even though for me personally it lacks the charme of e.g. Florence/Venice of AC2. But the world in combination with the smooth parkour system -> There is no AC game from those I've played so far, in which running around the world is so much fun as in ACU. There is also no AC game so far in which customizations of the main character have been that enjoyable. Dude's outfits and weapons are awesome.

Real downisde of the game is the story. It starts great but then becomes really boring, with wrong narrative decisions and wasted potential. Actually so much so that my motivation for picking it up again is very low. The hours and hours of smooth gameplay all around Paris (which becomes repetitive after a while, of course, but not nearly as soon as in previous AC games) can't make up for that.

I had a look at Yokai Watch and it looks intriguing, but I think all the forced marketing and the "will be the next Pokemon" quote put me off it.

I have seen gameplay on the 3DS and it would be awesome if they made a Switch version.

The pokemon killer tag is misleading. Don't pay attention to it.
Think of it as something away from that and it can be quite nice.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Everyone hated this game when it first came out, as "CoD fatigue" was finally burgeoning within the gaming community and everyone moved to Battlefield 3. I wasn't feeling the fatigue at the time, so I enjoyed the game for what it was. I feel like the game's multiplayer HEAVILY improved over MW2's unbalanced clusterbomb of a multiplayer. No more OP explosives, no more One Man Army and danger close perks, no more dominating killstreaks like chopper gunner and harriers, no more pain killer, and no more across the planet knife lunges with commando.

They also got rid of stopping power, which was great because now I never felt at a disadvantage like I did in MW2 whenever I used a different perk in the red perk tier. They included two new types of streaks, Support streaks and specialist, to add more variety. (I was always an objective/support player, so support streaks were awesome.) They also revamped the weapon leveling, which I also loved. (no more grinding for headshots to get camos, and weapon proficencies allowed for more customization options. Objectives also counted towards your streak too, so people finally started to go for the objective more, which was great.

Although I feel that the maps in MW2 were overall better designed, MW3's maps are still pretty decent IMO.
I'd still say Black Ops 2 has the overall best CoD multiplayer, (Was also my last CoD) but since almost everyone in the CoD community actually liked BO2, I decided to go with MW3.

I liked Mass Effect: Andromeda. It wasn't nearly as bad as people made it out to be to the point where sequels were cancelled. Not being as good as the original trilogy, which is one of the best runs of video games ever made imo, isn't the same as being bad

Destiny 1. It had a lot of hate but it was really fun towards the end. Destiny 2 is horrible though.

I used to loooove Call of Duty. My favorite was Black ops 1. MW3 was fun too. After that is when it started to get too crazy though. I can certainly see it as a game that people hate on now.

Not some games that people hate but they've probably never heard: Deep Freeze & Nekketsu Seisyun Nikki 2 (basically an updated PS-exclusive version of School Rivals) Japanese-exclusive games that I somehow got and played, lol.

Destiny, 1 and 2. They had their problems (plot-wise especially) but just to play as a PvP shooter, its not so bad. Pretty graphics ;)
