Kilij Taking Action "Kilij Speaking" [Kilij Thinking] Kilij Dao Odachi was having a pleasant cup of coffee in a shop down by the riverfront. The fragrant aroma tickled his tiger whiskers every time he took a sip. As the concoction passed by his coarsed tongue it left a mildly bitter aftertaste. Placing the cup back down in the table, Kilij picked up a copy of the World Economic Journal newspaper to read the latest happenings in the world's oceans. The news were pretty much the same as always, pirates attacking islands, revolutionaries fighting governments, bounty hunters capturing criminals, and marines recruiting personnel. Although there were some small mentions of his crew the Backyard Pirates, it wasn't anything significant. With a sigh Kilij put down the newspaper and looked at the boats in the river. [This place is so relaxing that I feel like I will melt into the surroundings.] As a blacksmith Kilij had come to this place to study some ancient cursed swords on display in many of the city's museums, but extended his stay because of the relaxing atmosphere. On this island he didn't even hide the fact that he was a Tiger Mink or even that he was a pirate. That wasn't something that he would normally do, but the place had really calmed his mood. "Maybe I should visit some of the smithing workshops before I return to the crew. This place is famous amongst blacksmiths for their elaborate rapiers and fencing swords. I could always learn to make my blades more aesthetically pleasing. Also the research institute was going to publish a study in new metal alloys and how can a swordsmith miss that." Just like that, Kilij was looking for excuses to extend his absence from the crew without thinking of the possible repercussions that it might cause.
