I've noticed that some faction members have posted their e-mail id, and other personal information on posts. While this is fine, please keep in mind that the "DBF" forums will be visible to public (even unregistered members) once DBF 2 is over, as such, it is your responsibility to remove any information you don't want available to public. At first, I thought I'd clean up the boards before it goes public, but it'll be too much work.

So please do remember to edit your posts and remove any information you don't want everyone to see once DBF is nearing an end :)

Is it safe to share email and personal information in the faction private forum for communication purpose? I think it's fine because the forum is only visible to faction members only.

Yes, it is safe currently, because now only your faction members can see the faction forums.

But once DBF 2 ends (final island = island 5), then the faction forums will be visible to everyone. That is when you'll need to delete any private information from your posts. Just remember where you shared anything and with the help of your faction you can clean up the faction forums on the last day before the forums become public (I'll let everyone know 24 hours in advance before opening the faction forums to public).

Well, in that case, can I request admin to delete a specific thread?

You can, at the end of DBF. Just hit the "report" button :)

I just don't want our member information being available to public eyes, sometimes it can be bad :p

But you guys don't need to worry about it until dbf is gonna end. Since only after that will it be open to public, and only once we're sure all personal info is gone. I made this post however so that people keep in mind where they are posting stuff, since all factions are doing it some or the other way.
