Hello, One Piece Podcast website readers! William here; it’s been a while! After a long break due to real life circumstances, I’m back to bring you this little gem from One Piece‘s now nearly twenty-year-long history.

In 2000, One Piece marked its second anniversary and celebrated the first full year of the One Piece anime adaptation. To celebrate the turn of the century, One Piece author Eiichiro Oda drew a special little 4-panel manga strip in a special one-off Weekly Shonen Jump offshoot magazine called e-Jump. This magazine included drawings from other manga artists such as Hunter x Hunter‘s Yoshihiro Togashi and one-off manga stories from authors such as Akira Toriyama, Makoto Niwano amongst others. This e-Jump magazine also included a special CD made for the Japanese PlayStation 2 with interviews and more interactive content!

That's a nice surprise. It takes me back to the early days when art was kind of really simple and not detailed like it is today. Manga industry has really come a long way.

The art style man. It's been a while since I've read the first few hundred chapters or so, so it's pretty nice to see this.
