Like Masashi Kishimoto overseeing Naruto: Road to Ninja to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Naruto anime, Eiichiro Oda is on board as executive producer on this year's One Piece Film Z to mark the 15th anniversary of his manga series. In that capacity, he's promising that this movie will challenge the 2009 blockbuster Strong World.

The latest visually certainly suggests that Z might be able to give Strong World a run for its money.

Tatsuya Nagamine (Yes! Precure 5, Dragon Ball Z Kai's opening) is directing with Masayuki Sato (One Piece: Strong World) as animation director. The writer will be Osamu Suzuki, who worked on the screenplay for the 2009 adaptation of Osamu Tezuka's Jungle Emperor Leo, but who is best known for his work on SMAP x SMAP, a variety show known for its One Piece enthusiasm.
