Four Blues

In One Piece, the world is divided into four huge oceans called "blues", these include: East Blue, West Blue, North Blue and South Blue.

Each Blue comprises almost entirely of ocean, with a few scattered islands and a border called the Red Line. Each Blue is also connected to the Grand Line via the Reverse Mountain. East Blue is considered the weakest of all the Blues. The Pirate King, Gold Roger was also from East Blue.

The Grand Line passes through all the Blues but it is highly dangerous to cross directly into the Grand Line due to the presence of the Calm Belt.

Reverse Mountain

The Reverse Mountain is as the name suggests a mountain and has a unique position where the four blues meet and is one of the entrances to Grand Line.

The water on this mountain climbs up rather than flowing down, this is due to the fact that the water from all four blue's meet at one spot and travel down to Grand Line and also the fact that the mountain is a "Winter Island", thus the water there is cooler than the waters on the four blues.

Travelling through the Reverse Mountain is a terrifying yet exciting experince, many pirates don't make it to the top due to the dangerous currents present in the water and storms that force them to crash into the mountain walls!

Red Line

The Red Line is a long group of islands connected together, we can call it a long continent that stretches across the entire world from North to South.

The Red Line is said to be 10,000 meters under the ocean and the tip of the Red Line cannot be seen from above sea level, it is indestructible and divides the four blues as well as the grand line at a certain point.

The World Capital is located on a certain part of the Red Line.

Grand Line

The Grand Line follows an imaginary line that runs from north-west to south-east across the middle of the world and perpendicular to the Red Line.

The Grand Line has many different types of islands, many different types of weather and different navigation methods. At the end of Grand Line awaits Raftel, the island where One Piece is suspected to be.

This is also known as the Pirate Graveyard since the strongest of Pirates make their mark on the Grand Line as well as the strongest of Marines.
